Special Guests Omar Apollo and Tyler, The Creator Make Surprise Appearances

Kali Uchis knows how to craft a world—and on Tuesday night at Los Angeles’ Greek Theatre, she invited 5,900 fans into hers. Wrapped in lush pastels, soft blush lighting, and rose-red hues, the stage resembled a dreamy vintage film set crossed with a celestial fever dream. For two full hours, Uchis delivered a meticulously curated performance that felt more like a love spell than a pop concert.

Though opener Tokischa was forced to cancel due to personal matters, Uchis took full command of the night—elevating it into an unforgettable experience that more than compensated for the absence. Floating down grand staircases that anchored the multi-tiered stage design, she moved like a goddess in a silk painting, flanked by backup dancers who brought kinetic flair to her otherwise hypnotic cool.

The setlist was extensive, diving deep into her bilingual catalog and weaving between the sultry rhythms of "Sin Miedo (del Amor y Otros Demonios)" and the cosmic soul of "Isolation" Tracks like “telepatía,” “Moonlight,” and “I Wish You Roses” had the crowd swaying in unison, while lesser-known gems earned just as much reverence.

Tracks like “telepatía,” and “I Wish You Roses” had the crowd swaying in unison, while lesser-known gems earned just as much reverence.

But the night’s most electric moments came from two unexpected guests: Omar Apollo and Tyler, the Creator. Apollo joined Uchis early in the show for a smooth, intimate rendition of “Worth the Wait,” their voices melting into each other like satin on skin. Later, Tyler’s unannounced entrance sent shockwaves through the amphitheater. Ever the showman, he bounded onstage with signature chaos and charisma, delivering an energetic duet that snapped the crowd to attention and left no phone in pockets.

Together, the surprise appearances gave the night a sense of occasion—and reinforced Uchis’ deep-rooted ties to today’s most genre-bending, boundary-pushing artists.

There was no pyrotechnics, no flashing LED mayhem. Instead, Kali Uchis gave fans something rarer: intention. Every detail—from the choreography to the lighting design—felt like it belonged in a glossy dreamscape. In a pop landscape often dominated by spectacle for spectacle’s sake, Uchis reminded us that the most powerful magic comes from curation, control, and soul.

And in her world, that magic is irresistible.
