An Insider View ;)
I received the opportunity to attend my first fashion shows in my capacity as a digital creator for The M Collective. I was able to attend the closing day because of the phenomenal Arts Hearts Fashion media team. I witnessed countless pieces of fashion, many of which I now eagerly anticipate wearing myself. My experience was one I will always remember.
The runway shows featured top models, celebrities, internet personalities, and influencers: Marcus Law, Olenia Caymares, Wyatt Engeman, Diarra Sylla, Max Ehrich, Chandrika Ravi, Vulkan Magazine’s editor in chief, Ryan Jerome, Acclaimed photographer, Jim Jordan, Willow Grey, Onicks, RU, 90’s club ICON, Richie Rich, and so much more.
The event was incredibly well organized. My colleague and I received row 2 seats. After the first set of shows, Argyle Grant and Kentaro Kameyama, the event proceeded with an art show featuring a curated collection of contemporary and modern pieces. Seeing
pieces being created on-site sparked conversation among many creatives. The event was then followed by cocktails (no drinks for me ofc ;)) and pics in one of the two revolving photobooths at the venue in between shows.
Some of the top brands featured included: Nike Swim, TheWalterCollection by Walter Mendez, Mister Triple X, Diana Couture x UBS Gold, Joseph Auren, Sergio Tacchini, Kentaro Kameyama, and many more.
Designer Walter Mendez [TheWalterCollection] showcased his fall collection of exquisitely crafted couture. Showcasing incredible silhouettes and craftsmanship, Walter Mendez’s collection displayed his classic style of stunning beaded and crystalline works of art. The men's collection displayed an exaggerated twist on the traditional blazer while maintaining that water collection element of sophistication. A collection one must experience in person. Mendez displayed an elegant play on casual wear with the limited edition snatched crewneck, displaying a metallic corset bodice, elevating day-to-day wear.
Argyle Grant elevated swimwear with their collection displayed on the closing day of LAFW. Using bright colors with summerlike patterns, the collection brought nothing
but bubbly energy to its audience members. The ambiance of the show elevated the energy in the room. The collection displayed elements of a lavish European summer; parties in Ibiza, yacht clubs in St. Tropez, and cave pools in Santorini.
At the LA Fashion Week after-party held at The Reserve nightclub in Downtown Los Angeles, I wrapped up the occasion by dancing the night away. Along with a mixology bar and a rotating picture booth. I reflected on the time when I was a young girl and this was only a concept on my Pinterest board. This only goes to show that you can accomplish your ambitions if you set your mind towards them. Attending LA Fashion Week Powered by Arts Hearts was such a pleasure. I thank Arts Hearts Fashion for allowing me the opportunity to use The M-Collective to highlight LA Fashion Week.
