Concerts. The Rundown

Ok ok I get it. Concerts can be stressful. I don't even know where to start at times. That's why my friend, Ariana Lopez, and I partnered to bring the girlies a guide on how to navigate through a concert safely.

Hey there I’m Ariana!! As Mei said, I love going to concerts and I've been going since I was little. I still remember my first concert being One Direction with 5 Seconds of Summer as the opener and how excited I was to see them! With that being said, here are some tips to know when going to a concert:

First things first, always have a game plan ready for the day of the concert. Whether you’re going with friends or by yourself, it is important to know the fastest routes to the venue, places to eat nearby, if you are driving back or taking a Uber/taxi home, and what time doors will open.

- ALWAYS ALWAYS ALWAYS eat before you go to a concert!! It is important that you do because depending on the venue they will or will not have a place to buy snacks. If they do, it will most likely cost more.

- Like any concert enjoyer, you are most likely going to buy merchandise. You can buy merchandise before the concert. Some concerts even let you pre-order merchandise to pickup at the venue. If you are buying merch, whether it is inside or outside, make sure you do it right away because lines will be lonnggggg!!

- Bringing a bag with you is always a must to concerts (no full sized backpacks!). Bring a bag so that way it’s easier to carry your merchandise along with your phone, wallet, etc. Make sure it follows your venue guidelines! If you’re like me and aren’t the type of person to bring a bag places, bring the main things like your phone, wallet, keys (if you can drive), some form of id, and vaccine card depending on the venue.

- If you are one of the lucky people who get floor/pit tickets, first of all I envy you, and second know that the security by barricades will be your best friend. If your are close to a speaker that will blow your eardrums out, ask them for ear plugs. If you feel like passing out, ask them for water. They are there to make sure your concert experience as enjoyable as it can be :)

- Lastly, BE MINDFUL OF THE PEOPLE AROUND YOU!!! Everyone is there to have a great time so don’t try to ruin it for other people.

With that being said, I hope these tips help you have a better concert experience and I hope you have a wonderful time seeing your favorite artist<333
