“Growing up, I’ve always wanted to own a business,” said Ashley Bassett, the owner of Sweet Squares. "I started selling items on my college campus in 2019, and after a brief pause, I realized I wanted to go all in with my business.”
The Sweet Squares event in Costa Mesa drew a huge crowd of over 1,200 fans, from 5pm to 8pm. Customers eagerly lined up to try the delectable ice cream sandwiches and snap a pic with their favorite High School Musical: The Musical: The Series actor.
"Joshua has always been very supportive of my business and me. He is extremely
generous and caring,” Bassett commented. She explained the event's motive and why she and Joshua decided to organize it. “We have to have this event! Let me help you,” said Bassett (Joshua).
In addition to their classic ice cream sandwiches, Sweet Squares Costa Mesa also offers many exciting drink options on their menu. Customers can expect to find unique and artisanal lemonade and latte flavors, as well as dairy free options for their coffees.
Bassett added, "I usually note the hot and cold contrast between the ice cream and the waffles because it's not something you often see."
